Diego Glazer, a new artist to the show from Denver, wins Best of Show.
LOVELAND, Colo. – The 33rd annual Colorado Governor’s Art Show, one of the largest juried fine art shows to exclusively feature Colorado artists, has named its 2024 award winners. Denver-based artist Diego Glazer, who is new to the show this year, won the Best of Show Award for his oil painting, “Garuda” and 10 other artists from across the state took home Awards of Merit.

The award-winning artwork was juried by professional artists and a museum curator and judged on creativity, originality, technique, the quality of artistic composition, and overall appearance.
The Colorado Governor’s Art Show & Sale is a month-long exhibit, running from May 11 through June 9, 2024, held at the Loveland Museum with both in-person and online fine art sales. In 2024, 61 Colorado-based artists were selected to participate in the show and Clyde Aspevig was named the Legacy Artist.
Exhibit admission is $7, and free for visitors 12 and under and museum members. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Museum hours are 12 to 4 p.m. on Sundays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays, and the museum is closed on Mondays.
The Governor’s Art Show is presented by Loveland and Thompson Valley Rotary Clubs, in conjunction with the Loveland Museum and endorsed by the Governor of Colorado. The Show is truly Art with Heart as net proceeds will benefit Rotary-sponsored charitable projects and causes. One-third of net proceeds will go to the Thompson Education Foundation’s Resiliency Fund for Unhoused Youth, and additional funds will go toward scholarships for local art students. The goal of the Thompson Education Foundation’s Fund is to ensure education stability and success by providing support and assistance to students and families in homeless situations.
