Crisis Communications
“It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you’ll do things differently.”
– Warren Buffet
The best way to deal with a crisis is to avoid it, but this does not happen just by wishing. We recommend following the four Ps for crisis communications management and can help clients at any stage in the process.
What are the four Ps?
- Strategize to prevent crisis communications situations from arising.
- Develop a crisis communications plan that provides your team with the critical tools and training needed so that you will be able to perform at the highest level when the time comes.
- Prepare in advance for a crisis. Don’t just develop a crisis communications plan that gets set to the side. Update it annually and provide ongoing training to ensure your team is prepared.
- Put your crisis communications plan into practice immediately upon experiencing a crisis situation.
