Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group Presents This Highly Anticipated Family-friendly Event as the Countdown to the Halloween Season Begins with Familiar Favorites and new Attractions
DENVER – Magic of the Jack O’ Lanterns will descend on Hudson Gardens (6115 S Santa Fe Dr., Littleton, CO 80120) with the magical glow of more than 7,000 pumpkins on select nights from Friday, September 20 through Saturday, November 2, 2024. This is the fourth annual event presented by Denver’s own Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group that will provide entertainment for all ages and capture the true spirit of Halloween.
Attendees of this year’s Magic of the Jack O’ Lanterns can expect a night of illumination as they walk through a glowing trail of thousands of magnificent, hand-carved pumpkins. Guests will come face-to-face with their favorite characters, a nautical sea-scape, pirate ship, dinosaurs, dragons, and much more. For a unique optical experience, 3-D glasses are available for purchase. These holographic lenses effortlessly turn light into magical pumpkin images, giving guests an eye-opening experience like never before.
“We are thrilled to introduce some exciting new elements to Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns this year and do something that’s never been done before at our event,” said Thirteenth Floor Vice President of Operations Greg Salyers, “We know you’re going to love it!”
New attractions this year include an extravagant show where all of the pumpkins display a beautiful light show programmed to music throughout the entire event every 30 minutes. An array of new pumpkin scenes will also be featured. Additionally, visitors can indulge in DIY S’mores stations where they can craft mouth-watering s’mores surrounded by a twinkling, pumpkin-lit night.
Over the years, Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns fan favorites have included the Harry Potter display – including a portrait of Harry Potter, the Hogwarts Express, professors, and more lighting up a castle wall. Classic paintings, including the Mona Lisa, Starry Night, American Gothic, and The Scream carved into gourds, are another crowd favorite. Another highlight is the glowing Ferris wheel of pumpkins that towers over the gardens with passenger cars filled with pumpkins.
While this magical trail of pumpkins is a feast for the eyes, guests can indulge in their own feast with the many local food trucks on-site and the new DIY S’mores stations. There are also drink stations throughout, with non-alcoholic and themed alcoholic beverages available. Merchandise is also available for those who want to bring their experience home with glow-in-the-dark, light-up toys, and memorabilia.
This not-so-spooky event is for all ages and provides a family-friendly atmosphere. Each year, Thirteenth Floor Entertainment partners with the STAR Institute to provide a low-sensory night for families. This year, low-sensory night returns on Sunday, September 29, 2024 and will treat guests to all the pumpkin delights with special consideration of sensory and sensory-motor differences and challenges taken into account to make the experience accessible and magical for all.
Tickets start at $14.99 for kids and $19.99 for adults on select nights. Children 2 and under will not require a ticket to enter. Tickets can be purchased at magicofthejackolanterns.com and will go on sale starting on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 12 p.m. PST.
This truly magical event will surely create cherished memories for the Colorado community this spooky season.
