Project summary

For the first-time this far west of the Mississippi, the Louisiana Travel Association brought its successful Louisiana Culinary Trails campaign on the road  to Denver, Colorado for an unforgettable, sold-out, one-night event.

Held at Mile High Station in the heart of downtown Denver, Louisiana Meets the Rockies featured 11 top chefs from across the state who each prepared tasting portions of a dish that represented their destination showcasing the state’s vibrant, world-class cuisine plus music provided by David St. Romain. The event opened with a VIP hour with 120+ Denver based media and influencers and then opened to nearly 400 super-fans and consumers who purchased tickets to attend the event. The event was sold-out and had a waitlist of more than 100 pep

During the VIP hour, CVB representatives interacted with media and influencers. Each dish showcased both the chef and destination, plus all were recognized verbally by event emcee celebrity chef Jay Ducote and LTA’s Chris Landry. Each VIP received a custom recipe booklet with each chef’s dish and destination, plus a gift bag highlighting all of the participating CVBs and Louisiana Travel.

Louisiana Culinary Trails partners brought chefs from New Roads, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Houma, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Lafayette, The Northshore, St. Martin Parish, Shreveport-Bossier, and Tangipahoa Parish, in addition to a chef representing the Louisiana Office of Tourism.

LTA elevated the promotional efforts for the entire event by conducting local media and influencer outreach and securing television spots/articles to promote the culinary event. All promotion for the event ultimately pointed consumers back to details about the Louisiana Culinary Trails.
